Summary
SAI Indonesia published the report "Ensuring Sustainable Development" for the reporting year 2023. The report noted that in total, from 2005 to the first semester of 2023, the SAI managed to recover or save budget funds amounting to 132.69 trillion Indonesian rupees (or 8.6 billion USD), 19.20 trillion Indonesian rupees (or 1.2 billion USD) of which were returned to the budget in the period from 2020 to the first semester of 2023.A separate section of the report is dedicated to achieving SDGs. In 2018, the SAI conducted an audit of the national government's preparedness to implement the SDGs. The auditors commended the SAI's role in achieving the SDGs. In order to achieve the SDGs at the national and international levels, SAI has launched three programs:- SAI's capacity program: development of institutional capacity, organizational systems (planning, strategy, business processes, systems and procedures, consulting, leadership, management, etc.) and human resource capacity;- research training program: preparation of publications and manuals useful for improving the audit of SDGs, as well as the publication of recommendations on auditing SDGs at the international level;- advocacy program: providing conceptual and strategic understanding of the SDGs both within the SAI and at the national and international levels in relation to the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.SAI Indonesia reviews the implementation of the SDGs at the national level every two years and publishes relevant recommendations.
