Summary

SAI Argentina released the results of its audit of the Project of integral early childhood development (Proyecto de desarrollo integral de la primera infancia), which provides for cash transfers to vulnerable pregnant women and families with children under 48 months in targeted areas of Argentina. The project is implemented by the Ministry of Human Capital (Ministerio de Capital Humano) with funding from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The auditors identified 15,465 payments to beneficiaries living outside the designated project area, totaling almost 600 million pesos (approximately USD 428,000). SAI also found discrepancies between the project's financial statements and available databases, as well as the lack of dedicated bank accounts for three out of four components.
